A state of emergency has been declared in Russia's Krasnodar region due to an oil spill caused by the collision of two tankers in the Kerch Strait. Over 4,300 tonnes of heavy fuel oil have polluted approximately 55 km of coastline. Authorities have mobilized over 7,500 people for cleanup efforts, while governor Veniamin Kondratiev announced a regional emergency regime and a plan to monitor and clean 240 km of coast.
