Yan Petrovsky, a Russian combatant charged with war crimes in Finland, will stand trial in Helsinki for five suspected offenses related to his involvement in the neo-Nazi paramilitary group Rusich during the conflict in Ukraine. He denies the charges and has been in custody since July 2023. Petrovsky is accused of being involved in the killing of 22 Ukrainian soldiers. His trial is set to begin on December 5, 2023.
