In 2022, the EU recorded 2.97 million non-fatal work accidents and 3,286 fatal accidents, with a ratio of 905 non-fatal to fatal accidents. Compared to 2017, accidents decreased by 4.6%. Men were more likely to have accidents, with a decrease in non-fatal accidents among men and an increase among women. Manufacturing had the highest accident rate.
