A new study reveals that the age at which babies take their first steps, ranging from nine to 15 months, is influenced by various factors including genetics, size, and nutrition. The research, involving nearly 71,000 children, identifies 11 genetic markers that account for about 25% of the variation in walking onset. It suggests that while parents can create supportive environments, genetics play a significant role. The findings also indicate a link between early walking and cognitive function, as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
