Farmers are increasingly using satellite images to optimize their work, particularly in northern Europe where cloud cover limits traditional optical images. The Polish company Wasat has developed Fertisat, a digital platform utilizing Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology to provide fertilization maps and recommendations. This technology allows for better fertiliser distribution, reducing unnecessary use while maintaining productivity and offering economic benefits.
