Seven lawmakers from Geert Wilders' far-right Freedom Party (PVV) resigned to form their own faction, challenging Wilders' leadership. Wilders expressed disappointment but vowed to continue for the Netherlands. The defections mean PVV is no longer the largest opposition party.
