The Spanish government has introduced a 530-million euro plan to protect communities from extreme weather, following deadly floods in Valencia that killed 233 people. Minister Sara Aagesen presented reforms including flood zone mapping and riverbed renaturalisation. The floods were caused by a phenomenon known as DANA, exacerbated by climate change. Aagesen emphasized the need for resilience and announced plans for infrastructure renovation. Protests against local government management of the disaster are also ongoing. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
