Tourist arrivals in Greece increased by 8.1% in August 2025 compared to the previous year, with spending rising by 10.5%. The travel balance showed a surplus of €4.15 billion in August 2025, up from €3.8 billion in August 2024. Total spending by foreign visitors reached €16.7 billion from January to August 2025, a 12.0% increase. Visitors from non-EU countries spent significantly more, while spending from EU countries saw a slight decline.
