Swedish prosecutors have charged Osama Krayem, a convicted terrorist, with aggravated war crimes and terrorism for the 2015 killing of Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kasasbeh by the Islamic State (IS) group. Krayem, currently serving a 30-year sentence in France, was temporarily transferred to Sweden for trial. He has denied the charges. The indictment states that Krayem forced al-Kasasbeh into a cage, which was then set on fire, leading to the pilot's death. Krayem has a history of involvement in IS attacks in Paris and Brussels.
