The world's steepest cable car has opened in Switzerland's Bernese Alps, connecting Stechelberg and Mürren with a gradient of 159.4%. The journey takes four minutes, climbing 775 metres. The cable car is part of the 'Schilthornbahn 20XX' project, which will reduce travel time to the Schilthorn. The Piz Gloria restaurant, famous from a James Bond film, is located at the peak.
