Telex is the most widely used online news source in Hungary, but public confidence in media is low and declining. The Reuters survey shows that while Telex, RTL, and HVG are considered reliable, trust in public media and other outlets has sharply decreased. Hungary ranks lowest in press trust among 48 countries surveyed. The study highlights a growing role of social media and AI in news consumption, with skepticism about AI's impact on reliability.
