Archaeologists in Regensburg uncovered a wooden temple dedicated to Mithras, revealing votive stones, metal plaques, and ceramic vessels. Dating from AD 80 to 171, it is the oldest known Mithraeum in Raetia. The cult, popular among Roman soldiers, featured rituals including the central motif of Mithras killing a bull.
