A new international study published in JAMA Network Open reveals that the gap between healthspan and lifespan is increasing, with life expectancy rising by 6.5 years over two decades, but healthspan not keeping pace. The gap was 9.6 years in 2019, up from 8.5 years in 2000, with the largest disparities in the US, Australia, and the UK. Mental health and musculoskeletal conditions are key factors in the US, while gender differences show a mean gap of 2.4 years globally. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
