The EU motto 'United in Diversity' reflects the varying average working hours across member states. Greeks work the most at nearly 40 hours per week, followed by Bulgaria, Poland, and Romania. The average workweek in the EU has decreased to 36 hours from 37 in 2014. Agriculture workers have the longest hours, while education workers have the shortest.
