In 2017, Johanne Marie Hemnes, a Norwegian student, suffered a stroke that left her partially paralyzed. After years of rehabilitation, she learned to walk again but felt her arm was neglected during recovery. Now, as an occupational therapist at Vilje Bionics, she is trialing a new bionic arm designed for stroke survivors, which enhances small movements and helps regain independence.
