Ukraine has ordered the evacuation of over 3,000 children and their parents from frontline areas in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions due to security concerns as Russian troops advance. Restoration Minister Oleksiy Kuleba reported ongoing evacuations in the northern Chernihiv region as well. Since June 1, 150,000 people have been evacuated, including nearly 18,000 children. Recent drone attacks by Russia have targeted Zaporizhzhia, causing damage but no casualties. An analysis shows Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine were significant in 2025, with Kyiv hosting security talks involving 15 countries and NATO representatives to broker peace.
