Recent studies reveal a critical public health situation in Ukraine, highlighting the rapid spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and increasing HIV cases, particularly among minors. Researcher Liudmyla Shostakovych Koretska from Dnipro State Medical University will present findings on these issues at the World Congress on Infectious Diseases in Rome. The ongoing war and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic have worsened health challenges, leading to a significant rise in infections. The study indicates that over 30% of isolated bacterial pathogens are multidrug-resistant, posing serious epidemic risks.
