Dragoş Pîslaru, the minister responsible for investments and EU projects, announced on Facebook that funds are reaching the Romanian economy five times faster than before, with a significant increase in the absorption rate of cohesion funds. In the past six months, Romania received 2.3 billion euros, significantly boosting the monthly returns. Pîslaru emphasized the importance of EU funds in reducing the budget deficit and aims to attract over 5 billion euros from cohesion funds by 2026. He also mentioned the successful renegotiation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) with the EU, aiming to secure 10 billion euros in recovery funds by 2026 for various sectors.
