Levan Mikaa, an opposition leader, claims that Aszlan Bzsanija, the leader of the breakaway Abkhazia, fled to a Russian military base after protesters stormed the Abkhaz parliament. Mikaa stated that negotiations between the government and protesters have ceased and threatened to initiate the president's accountability in parliament if no contact is made by Monday. The opposition protested against the ratification of an agreement with Russia regarding investments, resulting in injuries and hospitalizations.
