Eurostat reports that 94.6 million people in the EU are at risk of poverty or social exclusion, representing 21.4% of the population. The situation shows little change from 2022. Regions with high poverty rates include Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Italy, Brussels, and Ticino. Guyana has the highest rate at 60.3%. Children are the most affected demographic in many EU countries.
