The number of migrants ordered to leave the EU has decreased by 10% compared to last year, with 96,115 non-EU citizens ordered to leave between May and August 2024. However, only 25,285 actually left, indicating a significant gap. France led in deportations, followed by Germany and Sweden. The largest nationalities ordered to leave were Algerians and Moroccans, while Georgians had the highest percentage of those who left. Experts note that various barriers prevent many from being repatriated, and the EU is working on improving its returns policies. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
