Wildfires in eastern Germany have seriously injured two firefighters and forced the evacuation of over 100 residents. Nearly 500 firefighters are battling the blazes in Gohrischheide, Saxony, and Brandenburg. The fires have spread across hundreds of square kilometers and remain uncontrolled. A police helicopter is assisting in detecting embers, while evacuations have occurred in nearby villages. Residents are advised to take essentials and protect themselves from smoke.
