The Pompidou Center in Paris is set to close for a five-year renovation starting autumn 2025, which will include asbestos removal and major upgrades. The building, known for its radical architecture, was designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers and opened in 1977. It houses over 120,000 works of modern art and was a major cultural institution, attracting over 3 million visitors in 2024.
